HP has added another one of its own kin to its increasing array of Notebooks. This is an exceptional successor to HP’s first ultra Notebook contender: – The HP Envy 14 Spectre.
HP ENVY SPECTRE XT -BODY AND DESIGN
The notebook will came with a body that slightly tapers towards the front and will be brushed in aluminum chassis that surely looks superb; leave alone the svelte bezel that makes the laptop have apparent looks of a much much smaller size than its 13.3 inches. This well thought-out design by HP engineers is the edge that makes the spectre XT stand-out from the incessant list of new ultra notebook clan from HP.
Out in June the HP Envy sprectre will be followed by a sister version –one that will a Vail to consumers Windows 7 professional and TPM security. Sad to note though, this new note book doesn’t come in the glass covering of the Spectre 14.
HP ENVY SPECTRE XT-dimensions and weight
Notable about the spectre XT is the reduced thickness measurement as compared to its predecessor version. This new notebook has cut-over 5mm of thickness on the spectre 14 to only measure 14.5mm. This is comparable to Apple’s Macbook Air’s thickness. The spectre XT has a slimmer waistline that makes it look gorgeous. Overally, the notebook measures 327×221×14.5mm.
At 3.07lbs or 1.4 kg, the spectre XT, isn’t the lightest notebook, but it’s far from being heavy, hence one can lug around with it all day.
HP ENVY SPECTRE XT-screen and display
The notebook has 13.3-inch HD backlit LCD diagonal display with 1366×768 resolution screen
HP ENVY SPECTRE XT-performance and processor
Incorporated in the notebook is Intel’s latest IVY-BRIDGE core processor that embeds Intel’s rapid start technology. This makes the notebooks Boot –up time from sleep almost instantaneous! HP Spectre XT has a RAM capacity of 4 BG at 1600MHZ DDR3 and storage of 128 GB (up to 256 GB) slid state Drive flash Module.
HP ENVY SPECTRE XT-operating system
The notebook will came ready with Windows 7 premium 64-bit. Also it will be loaded with full versions of Adobe Photoshop Element 10 and Adobe Premiere Elements 10. This features reminds us of Apple, it seems HP is browing a leaf from them by offering an “experience” rather than just a product.
Once you buy an XT you’ll get access to a Concierge phoneline for technical support only offered exclusively to HP spectre users.
HP ENVY SPECTRE XT-key board and trackpad
The keyboard is spaced well much like what you will find on Macbook Air. The tiny up and down arrow key are maintained –tiny to fit fingers especially when gamming. This too is a backlit keyboard which is a plus for this notebook.
The trackpad on this notebook is a good size, spacious and user-friendly producing another foible HP presence. The trackpad buttons are built into the touch- sensitive region hence the cursor will be moving a bit when you click on it.
OTHER-HP ENVY SPECTRE XT features
Since HP Spectre XT is an HP product, Beats Audio is on board-full with quad speakers. Other remarkable hardware include: 256 GB mSATA SSD, an HP true Vision HD WEBCAM, and Gigabit Ethernet Wi-Fi, USB 3.0 and HDMI. Battery life is a round 8 hours.

Looks like a pretty sweet new model from HP. I must confess, I really like where they’ve been going with designs lately, it’s a good look for them!
true… HP is producing great designs
Very nice design. I agree that HP is good in computer design.
I have my HP Pavilion g4 and I am very happy to its performance.
The screen width is what I like about this notebook. I can visualize better when it comes to editing photos. It also has a lighter weight, and it’s thin, giving space for the rest of my stuff to fit into my bag.
